وقد تقرر أن تقام مباراة منتخب مصر أمام منتخب كوت ديفوار، في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءً اليوم الأربعاء، على إستاد جابوما.
وتاريخيًا فقد تفوق المنتخب المصري في إجمالي المواجهات بين المنتخبين، حيث تقابل المنتخبان ٢٢ مرة في جميع المسابقات، حيث حقق المنتخب المصري الفوز في ١٠ مباريات، وتعادل في ست مواجهات، وخسر منتخب مصر ست لقاءات.
يذكر أن الجهاز الفني للمنتخب المصري، بقيادة المدير الفني البرتغالي كارلوس كيروش، يركز على بعض الجمل التكتيكية التى سينفذها الفريق في مباراة اليوم أمام كوت ديفوار.
حيث ظهر خلال تدريبات المنتخب المصري اتجاه “كيروش” للتأمين الدفاعي أمام منتخب كوت ديفوار، على أن يتم الإستفادة من الكرة المرتدة السريعة، من أجل ضرب دفاعات منتخب كوت ديفوار وإحراز الأهداف.
