بدأت الفرق التي ستشارك فى مواجهات بطولة كأس العالم لكرة السلة في الحضور والتوافد على القاهرة ، من أجل المشاركة في البطولة، التي تستضيفها مصر خلال الفترة من ١١ إلى ١٤ من شهر فبراير الجاري.
حيث وصلت منذ قليل إلى مطار القاهرة، بعثة فريق ليكلاند ماجيك الامريكي، ليكون بذلك هو ثاني فريق يصل بعد بعثة نادي فلامنجو البرازيلي، من أجل الاستعداد للمشاركة في كأس العالم للأندية.
كما أنه من المقرر أن يصل نادي بورجوس الإسباني مساء اليوم إلى القاهرة من أجل الاستعداد لانطلاق البطولة يوم الجمعة بعد غد.
بذكر أن مصر تستضيف بطولة كأس العالم للأندية في الفترة من ١١ وحتى ١٣ من شهر فبراير المقبل، وتقام على صالة الدكتور حسن مصطفى، بمشاركة نادي الزمالك المصري ممثل قارة إفريقيا، بورجوس الإسباني ممثل قارة أوروبا، فلامنجو البرازيلي ممثل قارة أمريكا الجنوبية وليك لاند ماجيك الأمريكي بطل الـ G-league وممثل الـ NBA.
بذلك شارك نادي الزمالك في البطولة لأول مرة في تاريخه وتاريخ كل الأندية المصرية، بصفته بطل إفريقيا بعد تتويجه ببطولة إفريقيا للأندية BAL.
